I am an accomplished hospitality and culinary education specialist with 35 years of experience in teaching, administration, and the hospitality industry across India and abroad. As the founding Director of Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts at Symbiosis International University, Pune, I have had the privilege of shaping one of the premier institutions for culinary and hospitality education in the country. My journey began as a chef with ITDC in New Delhi, where my passion for Italian and Indian cuisine was nurtured. Over the years, I’ve held leadership roles, serving on boards such as the Education Certification Advisory Council of the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) and contributing to academic frameworks at Pune and Mumbai Universities.
I have always been driven by a commitment to excellence in culinary education, and my research focuses on advancing the field further, currently pursuing a Doctorate in Culinary Education. My professional career has also involved entrepreneurship, having founded and operated "Pinch of Salt," a corporate catering and consultancy firm. Beyond my technical expertise, I am passionate about mentoring individuals as a certified Hospitality Educator, Life Coach, and member of Toastmasters International, where I help others achieve their full potential in both life and work.
